Introducing Passes

Saving time for hotel and casino guests while reducing the burden for front desk staff.

Overview

We’re excited to announce the launch of Passes, giving consumers unlimited drive-in, drive-out access to a garage for the duration of their stay. Passes can be issued by a hospitality location, or guests can purchase one directly on the Metropolis website or mobile app. The self-serve option reduces congestion at the front desk, saving guests time and reducing the burden on hotel and casino staff.

Our vision technology enables drive-in, drive-out access once a Pass has been created, eliminating the need for staff to provide ticket validations, barcodes or RFID cards to guests to scan at entry and exit. Hotel and casino issued Passes can be created in advance for incoming bookings, further reducing front desk congestion. Passes work for both our Vision and Valet locations.

How Self-Serve Passes work

1. Drive in
Onsite signage guides guests to register their vehicle (not needed if they’re already one of our 8.7M members) and they receive a welcome text message which includes a link to purchase a Pass.

2. Tap link
The link sends them to the Metropolis site where they can view their active visit and see an option to purchase a Pass.

3. Purchase Pass
Guests select an end time for their Pass (the start time is automatically filled in with the time they entered the garage), see the cost, and purchase the Pass.

4. Just drive out and drive in
Our vision technology will recognize the guest’s vehicle every time they enter the garage and open the gate for the duration of their pass. Guests will receive a reminder text reminding them that their visit is ending soon. If they leave after their Pass has expired, they’ll be charged for the additional time at the transient rate.
