Talent Acquisition Manager

Metropolis is seeking its first in-house Talent Acquisition Manager who will be responsible for building the systems and processes required to scale a company-wide recruiting operation. As the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will support all corporate hiring to ensure we are sourcing and onboarding the best talent across all of the Company’s business units with an emphasis on technology and product.

You will define the recruitment strategy and manage the day-to-day pipeline of candidates while ensuring our candidate interview experience is best in class. A successful candidate will be a strong advocate of our business, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple open roles in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This role reports to a Co-founder who serves as the CFO and COO.

  • Work closely with department heads and other internal stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of the Company’s hiring needs for each position to meet competitive hiring goals and expectations
  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle across a variety of open roles to help find, hire, and retain quality talent
  • Understand core values of the Company and individual departments to make informed hiring decisions
  • Grow and foster high-touch relationships with a database of qualified active and passive talent to pull from as new positions open up
  • Continuously partner with department heads and other internal stakeholders to design, refine, and implement innovative recruiting strategies


  • Create job descriptions, screen resumes, schedule interviews, solicit feedback, manage candidates and coordinate offers
  • Source top-tier candidates for high-level positions
  • Complete all first round and second round in-person interviews
  • Manage and update candidate flow through an applicant tracking system
  • Regularly communicate information such as candidate pipeline and recruiting funnel status to internal stakeholders & other ad hoc projects from time to time and based on business needs
  • Be the direct point of contact for hiring managers regarding status updates, managing their expectations on availability and speed to close
  • Maintain a database of candidate records, including active and passive prospects, hired and fired employees, and other candidate relationships

Requirements And Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree with 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in a startup or agency environment
  • Previous success partnering with hiring managers to find, engage and hire amazing talent
  • Comfort handling a robust pipeline of candidates for both corporate and field hires across multiple searches
  • Technical expertise with an ability to understand and explain job requirements for technical roles
  • Experience with recruitment tools (LinkedIn, ATS, Boolean searches, etc.)
  • Experience sourcing potential candidates on niche platforms, like Stack Overflow and Github a plus
  • Successful track record managing tight deadlines, multiple stakeholders and high work volume
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of HR practices and labor legislation
